The First of Many Road Blogs :), now how do I do this ? haha

Hey first of all thanks for hanging with me as I start my new journey of blogging!  So this blog will be mostly about my experiences on the road as I travel to get my music out as an independent artist.  I think that a lot of people will be surprised to see all of the the doors that open and close along with just the downright odd and crazy things that can happen while traveling through the unknown territory of chasing one's dreams :)! So saying that here is a recap of what has happend on the trip throughout the southeast this past week......

At 7am I started my journey to leave Nashville this past Wednesday and make my way through the Georgia area.  I was hoping to get to some places in South Carolina but didn't make it out that way. But still, this trip I am looking to expand my musical boundaries outside of Florida to eventually connect back to Nashville.

Savannah, GA

So thanks to a lot of my friends and fans that are from the Georgia area, I had a great head start with at least an idea of what venues my fan base enjoy going to.  Which just makes sense, cause I don't want to play places they would never go hahaha. I went from Athens to Augusta and ended up in Savannah, GA for the night.  All were very cool cities and look to have some good opportunites after meeting with many venues and leaving them with promotional packets to introduce them to what music I do.  My favorite so far from that day was Savannah.  I had never been there actually and I was blown away by just the presence of the city actually and the historical feel that gave the sense that I

was actually in another era haha. It seemed to be a very well traveled city from the amount of tourist plates that I saw which always makes a great place for an indie artist to get their music out! And this completed my first 12 hour plus day of travel ;).

Day two was spent traveling from Savannah through Jacksonville and Jax Beach area, through St. Augustine and then on down to Fort Myers where I would play my weekend of shows.  I was also wanting to make it to Daytona, but that will have to be on the next trip.  Loved all of these places for different reasons but all seemed to be well visited by tourists mainly which, like I said, is ideally what I look for in new cities that I might like to play in. Again a huge thanks to those on facebook and other social media for the leads that they provided.  Saved me tons of time!!  This day started around 10 am and ended just before midnight........ alot of music was listened to in the car and a lot of coffee consumed haha :). All and all very productive days though!

Ok the shows........ Friday I played at a place called Nervous Nellies located in the Fort Myers beach area.  This was

my first time playing there actually and was an awesome experience.  My stage was actually over the water facing the audience of people at their tables enjoying a nice dinner and taking in a part of the sunset.  Very receptive crowd to my music and as always I am thankful for the fan base of people that always seem to show up no matter where I play in the Fort Myers area!  That always takes the stress out of playing new places when you have people requesting your music and singing the words to your songs :).  Saturday night was my usual favorite place to play.... The WorldWorld Famous Cigar Bar Famous Cigar Bar in the Gulf Coast Town Center of Fort Myers.  I can always count on a great audience there to play for and they are always interactive.  This place is actually where most of my fan base has spurred from and for that I am really thankful for this venue's continued support.  Alot of great times and shows have been there for me :)!

Ok this is blog #1 and you have been informed hahahaha!  I hope it has been enjoyable for you to get a little peek in how my trip has been going and I hope that you keep following along to watch me grow in my blogging along with my music hahaha!  Thanks and God Bless!
